How long does AC repair take?

Most repairs are completed in one visit, usually within 1 to 2 hours. Common issues like capacitors, contactors, thermostat replacements, and drain line clearings are same-visit fixes because we stock those parts on our trucks. Larger repairs such as evaporator coil replacement or compressor swaps may require ordering parts and a return visit, typically within a few days.

Should I repair or replace my AC?

If your system is under 10 years old and the repair costs less than half the price of a new unit, repair is usually the right call. If it is older than 12 to 15 years, still runs R-22 refrigerant, or you have been calling for repairs frequently, replacement often makes more financial sense over the long haul.

What are the signs my AC needs repair?

Warm air from the vents, weak airflow, short cycling, unusual noises, water leaks around the indoor unit, ice on the refrigerant lines, tripping breakers, strange smells, unusually high electric bills, and rooms that will not cool down are all signs to call an AC repair technician.

Do you offer same-day and emergency AC repair?

Why is my AC blowing warm air?

The most common causes are low refrigerant from a leak, a dirty or blocked air filter, a frozen evaporator coil, a failed capacitor or compressor, a thermostat set incorrectly, or a tripped outdoor disconnect. Some of these can be checked at home (filter, thermostat settings, breaker); others require a licensed technician.

Why is my AC leaking water?

A clogged condensate drain line is by far the most common cause. The line backs up and water overflows the drain pan. Other causes include a frozen evaporator coil that is thawing out, a cracked drain pan, a disconnected drain line, or a low refrigerant charge causing the coil to ice up.

Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, and Salem counties may take a bit longer depending on scheduling, but most calls still get same-day service. Emergency after-hours calls are dispatched immediately.

Do you offer financing for AC repair?

Yes. Good2Go offers financing through Contractor Commerce with approvals available on the spot. Financing is especially helpful for larger repairs or when deciding between a costly repair and full system replacement.

Is my AC repair covered under warranty?

It depends on the age of your system and how it was installed. Most manufacturers offer 5 to 10 year parts warranties on major components like compressors and coils. If Good2Go installed your system, labor is covered by our workmanship warranty. If you have a home warranty such as American Home Shield or Choice, we can often coordinate directly with them.

Do I need to be home for the AC repair?

Yes. An adult should be present so the technician can access the indoor and outdoor units, walk you through what they find, and get approval before starting work. A spouse, roommate, or property manager can stand in if the homeowner cannot be there.

If the home comfort system breaks down, how fast will you service it?

As a Premier Program member, you can expect priority service should the heating and cooling system ever need servicing. Please contact Good2Go and one of their qualified service technicians typically will be dispatched to your home within 24 hours or less.

What is the installation process and how long does it take?

The installation is performed by Good2Go. Installations in most cases take about a day. Good2Go will set up a time and day for the installation that is most convenient for you and fits with your schedule.

Are there additional costs, other than the Premier Program monthly payment?

With the Premier Program, all home comfort system maintenance, consumable parts (air filters and UV bulbs) and covered repairs are included per the terms of your Premier Program agreement.

Will someone show me how to work the home comfort system and the controls?

Yes. Good2Go will answer all your questions concerning how the home comfort system works, walk you through how to properly operate the new controls, and show you how to change the consumable parts as required.

What brands of home comfort equipment do I get with the Premier Program?

Good2Go works with several quality, nationally recognized HVAC, plumbing, and electrical manufacturers. Based on your specific home comfort needs, Good2Go will recommend the best options for you to consider.

What happens to my old home comfort system?

Good2Go will safely remove and dispose of your old home comfort system in an environmentally friendly manner.

How do I schedule maintenance of the home comfort system?

Good2Go will contact you to schedule the annual home comfort system maintenance. However, if you must reschedule that appointment, contact Good2Go to do so at your earliest convenience.

What if I sell my house?

If you sell your home, you have a couple options with the Premier Program:

Option 1: Contact us to apply to transfer the service to the new homeowner; upon the new homeowner being approved for the Premier Program and executing required documentation, they will assume responsibility for any remaining payments.

Option 2: Contact Service 1st Financial to exercise your purchase option, as detailed in your Premier Program agreement. Under this option, you will take ownership of the system and program benefits will cease upon your exercise of the purchase option.

How long does this Premier Program service last? What happens when it ends?

The standard term for the Premier Program is 10 years. At the end of the standard term, you may elect to do any of the following (subject to the terms and conditions of your Premier Program agreement): 1)upgrade to a new system, 2) extend your Premier Program agreement, 3) exercise your purchase option, or 4) return the system.

They installed two toilets and did a few other repairs. Melvin was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable.  We are still very satisfied customers! 2020 - AM Botte installed a tankless hot water system at our house.  The three techs were courteous, respectful of our home, explained the process and answered all questions.  They cleaned up when finished, took away old h/w tank and all trash.  We are very pleased!!
